About Dan

I’ve been a locksmith for the past 26 years. I studied under a well-known commercial locksmith in Vancouver, BC. Later, I moved into the interior of British Columbia to learn about safes and automobile locks under a master locksmith. Once completed, I moved to Alberta to run my own company, Dan The Lock Man ltd. Since then I’ve relocated my business to Cranbrook, BC, to serve the East Kootenays. I also hold a Certified Automotive Locksmith certification from Associated Locksmiths of America, Iowa.

I have been licensed for 26 years. As a fully government-licensed locksmith, I can help you with any locking system including those of commercial properties, homes, and automotive. I now travel twice a year to share my knowledge about high-security automotive with students at a college in Iowa. The class is called Hand on High Security with topics such as sidewinder and laser-cut keys.
